The track features James Benders on electric bass and Rose Wells on drum set and was recorded during a 2 day session in May of 2023 on Buffalo’s West Side. Written ahead of a short run of trio shows which took the band through Manhattan’s lower East side in 2022, the song was ironed out live on Bronstein’s 2023 Spring tour and recorded just following the bands return home. Drenched with reverb and dripping with vibe, “Terrane” is the perfect glimpse into Bronstein’s next record and it’s variety of songwriting.
‘ABtrio’ is slated for a December 2023 release on vinyl, CD & all digital streaming platforms!
2022 – Adam Bronstein
Jeff Miers of The Buffalo News writes:
“Adam Bronstein arrives with his first album as bandleader and composer, and it’s a simply stunning effort.”
“An organic, earthy recording of some subtle but striking compositions that move easily between supple swing and stately funk.”
“The soloing is inventive and melodic in equal measure, and the overall, dreamlike presence will be enticing to fans of Julian Lage’s most recent effort ‘View With A Room’ featuring Bill Frisell. This is truly a beautiful album.”
Adam’s debut solo effort featuring Elliot Scozzaro on tenor saxophone, Honey Henry on bass and Joe Goretti on drums. Recorded on 4/24/22 at the The Beat Barn, released November of 2022.
